Since 2018, Dr. Morstein works as program responsible for nano- and materials technology at the Hightech Zentrum Aargau AG, where he helps bridging the gap between academic research and industrial innovation needs.
Bio
Dr. Morstein obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Cologne for a thesis on MOCVD of semiconductor layers. He followed up working as Oberassistent at the ETHZ Laboratory for Surface Science and Technology, where his research focused on tribology, coating technology and surface analysis. For 16 years, he then served as Head of Research & Development at the swiss SME Platit AG, where he developed nanostructured coatings and innovative PVD coating systems.Since 2018, Dr. Morstein works as program responsible for nano- and materials technology at the Hightech Zentrum Aargau AG, where he helps bridging the gap between academic research and industrial innovation needs.
