FEMTOprint SA is a Swiss high-tech company manufacturing 3D printed micro devices out of glass and other transparent materials, integrating more functionalities in a single monolith.

Nicoletta Casanova, CEO and cofounder of FEMTOprint, will go through the birth of the company as a spin-off of a European Project, the evolution of its 3D manufacturing platform and its industrial applications. She will also show how the Swiss Innovation Ecosystem supported and keeps supporting her in this amazing journey.

Bio

From Technical Director at a Laboratory for Material Testing to young founder of a company active in the field of fiber optic technologies for structural health monitoring in Lugano, to manager of an international technical company in Paris, Nicoletta Casanova, with her passion for innovation, is a serial entrepreneur always trying to make things differently. After her first successful experience, she decided in 2013 to start putting her energy, enthusiasm and professionalism in the birth and growth of FEMTOprint SA, with the following main goals: open new technological horizons in industrial manufacturing and boost innovation in microsystems by providing a means for rapid prototyping and serial production.
She is author of several papers, articles and contributions to books.
She is also one of the Innovation Counselors at Innosuisse, member of BRIDGE Steering Committee and member of the Association of Ticino’s industries Committee.
