The SNC 2023 venue is located about a 15 minute walk from the main train station in Neuchâtel. It is located directly south of the Maladière football stadium, which itself is visible from almost anywhere in the city (look for the stadium lighting towers). The main entrance to the Patinoire is in the alley between the Maladière stadium and the Patinoire itself. Staff and/or signage will be in place to assist you once you are near the venue.
Walking from Train Station
Please see the map below for the best walking route. If you are in doubt, look for the Red Church and/or the Maladière football stadium and its lighting towers. The venue is directly to the south of the stadium (lakeside). This route takes about 10-15 minutes on foot (mostly downhill).
Alternatively, you can take the funiculaire/tram, which departs every 5 minutes from the lower level inside the main train station, arriving at University of Neuchâtel campus. When exiting the Funiculare, take the underground exit (lakeside) and then go left (east) towards the Maladière stadium. The walk from the Funiculaire exit to the SNC venue is about 5 minutes.
Bus from downtown Neuchâtel
The bus line 121 departs regularly from Place Pury (downtown, central hub) and arrives at the MALADIERE station in 4 minutes.
From there walk behind the Maladière stadium towards lakeside to the entrance of the Patinoires.
Parking
Paying underground parking is available at the Maladière Shopping Center, located under the Maladière Football stadium, just a 3 minute walk from the SNC venue. The parking entrance is well indicated, just to the east of the stadium. Once you have parked your car, take the exit on the lake side (Quai Robert-Comptesse).
The highway exit from both directions is MALADIERE. Please see the map below for venue access form this exit (red line, which leads to the underground parking entrance).
PARKING HINT: Park your car near the exit you will need to take on foot –> SORTIE SUD, QUAI ROBERT COMTESSE. Take the elevator or walk to to NIVEAU 0 (Quai Robert Comtesse / bord du lac).
